Hello I have a 1993 mercruiser 4.3 v6 with an alpha 1 gen 2 outdrive. I plan on taking my boat to Ocean city MD for a week in the summer and planned on leaving her in the water. So I thought that it would be a good idea to change the anodes. My boat is primarily a freshwater boat, so I ordered an anode kit. I am having problems with changing the prop shaft anode. I removed the propeller and thrust washer behind it, but there is not place or space to put the anode. The are no holes drilled and there is not space for it. Is my outdrive designed for the anode? I also noticed that my power trim cylinder don't have the predrilled holes on the top of it to put the anodes. I was just going to drill and tap the holes from the power trim anode, but I am having a difficult time with the prop shaft anode.
