No.. Once you get the nut on, it's the NUT that determines the ending position of the forward bearing, not how far you pressed it on. You only press it on far enough for the nut to finish the job. You got the 5in-lb (of bearing rolling torque, NOT the torque on the nut, right)... THAT says the bearings are in the right place.

Bellows. Book says transom end first, I find bell housing end first is easier for me... So, it makes no difference.

Best lubricate to use, especially on the bell housing end of the uni bellows is Merc Power Tune...

The issue I'm dealing with is how far do I press , you said just enough to get the nut on ? But in your video you had plenty of threads if not the whole threaded area showing , I counted like 10 full turns you did ?? Before the rolling torque ? So trying to match that now ... so confusing lol
If I actually dis just barely press it on it would so much different than in your video .. I would have the races and bearings very loose all over the place
But I'll press it until I can make 7-8 turns on the nut like you did ..

also I noticed how easily the carrier seal went on the shaft . On mine I have to push it down a little to get into place . Is that ok? A little tight .. I'm I ok?

If you have a new seal, then yes, it's going to be a little tighter.

Here's a video to see if pressed them in enough

That's perfect...

I would suggest you pull it off and set it right.
