Alpha 1 Gen II Gear Lube Qty.

My drive is an Alpha 1 GenII drive with the gear lube monitor. The book says the gear lube Qty is 64 ounces/2 quarts, it does not reference whether or not that includes the gear lube monitor.
I pumped in 1 Qt plus about 1/4 of another quart when the lube started coming out the vent.
After I filled the gear lube monitor I had a few ounces left in the second quart.

Does that sound right?

For the life of me I can't remember exactly how much gear lube I filled last year, , drive and monitor. I typically write down all maintenance items, quantities, part numbers, etc. For whatever reason I didn't write that down the last time.

I think it does include the monitor. I don't think I've ever got 2 full quarts in mine, even when I fill it, then lay it on it's side and try to burp out the last remaining air in the upper half.

Thanks for the reply. usually when you look up capacities they are pretty close to spot on. After I barely got into the 2nd quart and it was coming out the vent I was like, wait a minute, something seems to be not right.
