I have an alpha 1 genII outdrive sitting on a 91 centra cuddy. I had the outdrive off to grease the gimble bearing (replaced the seals when i did) and then seperated the lower unit off to replace the water pump and seals. Now i filled the ourdrive back up with new oil and noticed it leaked quite a bit over the last few weeks sitting. It is coming from the small hole towards the back (opp end of prop) right below where the two halves come togather.
Any ideas why this may be leaking?

There is a small flat o-rings that seals between the two (upper and lower) gear lube passages. Its orange, if my memory is correct. Did you see it and put it in there?

Yes there is a small orange o-ring you can lower the lower unit just enough to slip it in place, you do not have to drop it all the way off.
