Alpha 1 sticks in reverse

Mercruiser 485 Alpha 1 drive, new LOWER shift cable and interupt switch fitted

I have fitted and adjusted as per the manual but i find that she will go in and out of forward no problem, she will go into reverse easy but I have difficulty getting her out of reverse, seems to stick in gear?
any ideas fellas?

Does your interupt switch work? Engage it manually and see if the engine dies.

If it does work, then it might need adjusted. That happended to me recently. The arm needed to be bent a little.

I'm not suggesting you simply start bending the arm... just something to check. But see if the switch is working first.
