Alpha 1 - water pump and gear lube hose?

My question is how long do these hoses usually last? I have a 97 mercrusier it is a fresh water boat and is not stored in the water, from a visual inspection they look good to me I don't see any dry rotting or cracks.

The water hose will be fine as long as it's not weather cracked or kinked.
The bellows should be replaced after 5 years, impeller should be good for 3 years in freshwater.

I have everything apart right now I changed the impeller and I'm changing the shift bellows, U-joint bellows and shift cable gaskets etc. I've read a lot about doing this job I'm pretty sure I can do it. I live in AZ a lot of the marine shops around here are booked for the next 4 months so i figured i would give it a shot. Shops around here want $50 for those 2 hoses from the look of it I think they will get me through another couple years.
