Alpha I Stand?

Has anyone ever built a stand/platform that the outdrive might set on and be used to roll up to the transom so you are not always fighting the dead weight? Do you have pictures or plans?

Mine is built on a moving dolly which makes moving around very easy. Good idea to make the finished height the same height as is on the boat so you can use the stand to help install the drive on the boat

Did you fellas make the stand like JTBT had in his picture?

Does anyone have a picture w/o the outdrive setting on it? If so post it and any dimensions you may have.

I really like the idea of the floor jack and being able to adjust the height.

I just called Yardarm Marine, a JO5 is $721.00 plus freight.

I bought an ATV jack from Harbor Freight for 50.00 then brought home some old angle iron I scrounged up and made an excellent stand, height is adjustable via the atv jack. tried to post some pics but i am not a computer wiz!! Look at a picture of the atv jack then let your mind wander after viewing a few samples on this forum.

have not made one yet as i have to replace my floor jack first or oil changes will be tough. working on cornhole boards and learning how to run a *&*$#@#$% sewing machine for the bags but as soon as i get those finished i might start on one . my wooden one works good and i adjust with trailer last time took me about ten min. to install.

I have been thinkng of using a old shopping cart and cuttting off the cage and use the U shaped frome to fab a mounting jig. Still working on the details but it seems the hieght would be just about right could also be very moble.
