Alpha leak inside boat...see pic????

It's a 1985 merc 305 with alpha 1 drive. At just above idle on the muffs I have a "leak" looking like oil and water together. It's coming from that hole on the transom wall......any ideas.

It's a milky substance......right above the drive shaft and above the hose that goes to the power steering cooler.

Ayuh,... My guess is,.. The Bellows is Full of that Goo....

Pull the Drive to see exactly Why it's doing it...

if you pull your own drive, be sure to step back as you pull it out. that mess will be all over your shoes!!!

your bellows probably has cracks in it. turn drive to the left and look on the right side of the upper bellows and vice versa. you won't see small cracks unless the bellows is stretched. looking at bellows replacement, gimbal bearing replacement, and if not now, u-joint replacement next season. your first post next year will be, what is that noise in my drive when i turn left and right?
