Does anyone know the size of the driveshaft in the AOG2 drive? I plan on replacing the impeller soon and the Seloc manual says to use the Mercruiser tool or "a washer of suitable size" to seat the water pump face seal. I just want to make sure I have the right size on hand to make this go smoothly.

The tool comes with the OEM kits only, not in the aftermarket kits.

You might check with your local Merc dealer, they can sell you the proper tool for a couple of bucks. The face seal has an installed height of 5/16"
The shaft diameter is just under 7/8".

Re: Alpha One Gen 2 Impeller/Driveshaft

Looks like I bought the kit without the face seal (Sierra 18-3214). Another $6 for the seal and tool. I thought the o-ring in the kit looked a little small. I guess that one is for the oil passageway. New boat to me this year. Doing everything I can think of now, so hopefully it will be ready to go in the spring.

So far:
Filled fuel tank and added Sta-bil Ethanol treatment.
Ran fresh water through the cooling system.
Changed engine oil.
Fogged the engine.
Removed five cooling drain plugs and let drain.
Drained freshwater system/ran anitfreeze.

I need to:
Put the drain plugs back in, remove thermostat housing and fill block and manifolds with antifreeze, then new thermostat and gaskets.
Change impeller and drive oil.
Clean bilge.
Grease pivots points/gimble bearing.

Anything I seem to be missing?

You pretty much got it covered, personally wouldn't waste my time and money on the anti-freeze...
