Hey all. I just winterized, replaced the gimbal bearing, and reinstalled my Mercruiser Alpha One Gen II drive. After reinstalling, it sometimes makes a ratcheting sound when shifted to reverse. It seems to be more prevalent when shifting more slowly, as opposed to the short, forceful stroke recommended. However, I did not have a problem like this before I removed the drive. I have linked a youtube video I posted. The first time I am putting the drive in forward gear for reference.

Also, the motor will not always crank when the remote controller is in neutral. I sometimes have to wiggle it around or put it 1/4 forward in throttle only to get the motor to crank. Something tells me these two issues are related.
The boat was winterized so I won't be able to run it for a few months, but any suggestions on possible parts I'll need or what to try are welcome.
Merry Christmas!
