I have a alpha one outdrive unit and have noticed the oil is milky. I have checked the connections with the hoses and they seem tight. Can it be something else besides replaceing the seals in the cylinders thats what my next step is and looking for other ideas or if someone else had this problem. Thank you

If your fill cap on the reservoir has a vent hole in it, it could be, by some weird miracle getting water in through there. But realistically, your cylinders need new seals. The kits are $22/ea and other than a spanner wrench, no special tools needed, and the instruction that come with the kits are good. Not a hard job to do at all. Unless your cylinders are all seized up and horrible corroded.

Your talking about the lower unit? Gaskets around the screws?
