Alpha One Question - Prop info needed

Here is my situation with my Alpha One Prop. At the moment I have two Sea Ray boats. I am selling my 1990 model 210 5.7L 260hp Sea Ray with an Alpha One outdrive, it has a very nice Mirage 3 blade stainless prop on it.

I want to take this Mirage prop and put it onto a different 1987 Sea Ray Model S23 that I just bought which also has a Mercruiser 5.7L 260hp with an Alpha one outdrive that has a three blade aluminum prop painted black.

I thought it would be very simple just to switch the two props since there are both mounted on Alpha One outdrives.

So I took off the aluminum prop from the 87 Sea Ray just fine and also took off the other parts including the bushing and the circular back plate to switch it to the other boat.

Then I started taking off the Mirage stainless steal prop from the 1990 Sea Ray and starting taking everything off but ran into a problem when I was not able to remove the circular back plate that the prop rests on. It seems like it is mounted onto the shaft, I tried pulling a bit on it but didn't want to froce it.
This back plate is just slightly bigger than the one from the aluminum prop.
This prop does has the bushing etc all built into it if that info is needed.

I really want to keep this prop if possible.

Any advice on what I could try next or any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Eddie

Re: Alpha One Question - Prop info needed

Sometimes a quick pop with a lever is necessary to break them free. Quick motion seems to work better than slowly applying pressure. A bit of metal flat against the gearcase aluminum exhaust opening prevents damage to that.
