Alpha one water pump base seal removal

Doing the water pump of my 1988 Alpha one drive with a complete kit.The water pump base pryed off with medium effort.The seal stayed on the drive though.My other drive the base pryed off easier and the seal stayed on the base so it was pretty simple.Any thoughts on removing the seal from the drive now that the base is off.Charlie

Just dig it out with some form of bent tool. You'll need to replace the base...
