Well,...... The Complete Drive is held on with 6, 5/8" Nuts,+ the Trim Rams are 9/16" Nuts,.... Wrench Sizes anyways,... The studs are actually 3/8",+ 7/16"......

If you're splitting the Upper,+ Lower,.....
It's a 5/8" end wrench,.. A 5/8" socket,+ ratchet,... A 3/8" Long reach Allen wrench,+ a 5/16" standard Allen wrench......
The Waterpump housing requires a 7/16", a 3/8",+ a 1/4" sockets

The rule is that whatever you don't take... will be needed at some point.

If I was in your situation, I'd take whatever tools I have up to the point where the springs bottom out on the truck.

"what length is necessary for the 3/8" allen wrench?"
The anode screw depending on drive could take a defferent wrench. I think pre-A's are differnet. Not sure. And U will need some shadetree help with the anode if it's tight, put the allen wernce in and use the box end of another wrench around the short "L" to loosen the allen head screw

Harveje,
Just to clarify...I was interested in the length of the 3/8" allen required to reach the screw that is recessed into the drive hole

Ayuh - is that an old pirate word, or a part of flotsom & jetsom?
