I am new boater (1st season) I just put the muffs on and started motor and noticed I only have water coming out one side of my drive. Is this normal or should it be flowing from both sides? I hope this description is clear I am not up on the proper nomenclature. Thanks for your help.

Re: Alpha1 Exhaust plugged?

Those holes are idle relief ports. So when your drive is in the water at idle, the exhaust doesnt have to push all that water out of the way to exit the prop. When you are on plane most of the exhaust will just come out the prop. Maybe ya got a bees nest or sumtn in the one side. I would be tempted to put my hand over the side that has water coming out and see if it comes out the other side. Maybe hold a coffee can cover of something over the rear of prop real quick as well... BE CAREFULL !!!

Perfectly normal - water will take the path of least resistance. Nothing to be worried about.
