I have a 1987 chris craft 210 LTD with a 260 mercuiser. I think that it has a alpha 1 gen 1 on it. I am having promblems with the trim going down it seems to be stuck up the motor and everything comes on it just wont go down. if i hit the trailer button it will go up a little but i just wont go down. I have read some other post and it said to try and stand on it while holding the trim down, that didnt work. I read into the manual also but i was just wondering if and of the experts on here had a good idea of what it could be and what to do. This is my first boat. Any help would be great thanks kyle. Sorry for the long post.

Need someone to bounce on it while it's running, to see if you can free up the check valves in the pump.
This is a common problem when you raise the drive all the way up and can hear the motor bog down. You are pressurizing the system and the pressure stays.
In the future, raise the drive up then hit the down button for a second to release the pressure on the system, then it won't stick up like that.

The Large friend i had jump on it was about 230lbs. I dont know how much larger they need to be. I seen in the manual that there is a pressure relief valve would that make it come down? Also what if i unhooked the outdive from the pumps would that help any? thanks again

SOmetimes it takes a few jumps. I had that happen to m old boat and I jumped as my wife held the button. Im a light 290lbs. LOL. But since then I raise it till it stops and then bump it down twice. Never had that problem again. When you store it store it in the down position to stop it from sticking and also that gets all the water out too.

Ayuh,... Disconnect the lines at the pump....
If it don't come down,.. Direct the open lines into a container,+ Then Jump on it...
If it does come down,... Replace the pump...Tear it apart,.. Whatever...
