Owning a boat is an exciting and new experience for me.I have just aquired this boat and trailer from my aunt. It is really quite a beauty and I can see why they bought her.
I contacted the Alumacraft Company in St Peter and all they were able to help with were pics of the boat from an ad and the suggestion to go to www.nada.com. I was not able to get any info there.
My uncle bought it used in the late 60's and used it on the Cedar River in IA when time permitted until sometime in the 70's.

It has always been stored in a garage and is in near pristine condition. It has been used very little and was last in the water in 1991 when her grandson used it for a short time when he was in MI.
I am wondering if anyone might know how much this boat sold for when it was new and what the value would be today.

I am enjoying the posts to familiarize myself with boating and most appreciate any info all of you boaters may have.

Thanks...

Pics would be great!

You've got a great boat there - the QM was built like a tank and a great boat for rough water.

My 1966 catalogue shows the Queen Merrie Deluxe outboard listed at $1995, and the buyer was responsible for supplying the engine.

It also shows four versions of the I/O available:

110 hp Mercruiser --------------------- $3795
110 hp Mercruiser with power tilt ------- $3850
120 hp OMC with power til - ------------$3999
120 hp Mercruiser with power tilt -------$3995

I have a QM I/O that I plan to strip out the engine and drive and turn it into an outboard with a Gill-drive - should leave a capacious cockpit!

Re: AlumaCraft 1964 Queen Merry

Thanks so much for the response re: my boat!
My son lives on a houseboat summers on the St Croix river and is very knowledgeable about boats and repairs. This boat needs a new gas tank and came with 2, 20 gal tanks made of steel that he believes were custom made for the boat, however they weigh about 75 lbs each and he wants to lighten the load.

My next request...We are looking for a gas tank for this boat. The motor is a 120 Mer cruiser I/O. Again...any help anyone can provide would be most appreciated.

As for pictures of the boat..I only have the ad that Alumacraft Co emailed to me. Don't have any yet that I have taken.
Thanks again
