Aluminum 4 blade vs. SS 3 blade?

I am looking to upgrade props from a 3 blade to a 4 blade, but can't afford a SS 4 blade. Will I still gain many of the 4 blade benefits if I just get an aluminum 4 blade?

My boat is a 23' Caravelle bowrider with a 350 MAG and Bravo 1 drive. I currently have a Mercury Vengance 19P SS prop (3 blade), and looking for that extra low end push and eliminating the ventilation in hard turns that I'm currently experiencing with my 3 blade prop.

I know I will lose a little top end by going to the 4 blade, but mostly concerned about lower planing speeds and more grip on tight turns (like when you're tubing).

Thanks!

...I'm probably the last person that should answer a prop question, but from personal experience, let me try.

I use a 14-1/2x20x4 prop when pulling the Grandkids on tubes, wake boards, etc. Excellent pulling power and early planing. I revert to a 14-1/2x19x3 when it's just grandma and me fishing. The 3 blade allows closer WOT.
Either prop ventilated during severe turns when pulling tubes!!! That is, until I installed Smart Tabs !!!

Yes a 4 blade should still help you out.But changing material introduces more unknowns.I a little surprised the stainless ventilates so easily.Do you trim in for tight manuvers?
