I want to re-paint my 1960 Starcraft aluminum boat. It currently is an off white that I think is a repaint judging from the age of the boat. I assume it will work as the "primer" buts looked at the west marine web site and there are dozens of brands and types to choose from????? I also want to do the inside of the boat. It appears to be factory and is green with "speckles"? Any suggestions?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,....

I'd scuff it up with, oh, 180, or 220, prime it, 'n paint it with Rustoleum industrial enamel...

Rustoleum also does that speckled paint, in rattlecans I believe...

Google 'em up,.....

Whatever ya do, Don't strip it bare,...
The Co$t, 'n Effort up Up exponentially...

Check out page 10 in my "My Flamingo" thread listed below. It has all the details on how to use Valspar Paint with Hardener to paint your boat correctly. Valspar is the same as Rustoleum that Bond-O suggested, they just don't make a hardener for their paint. You can get the Valspar and all Tractor Supply stores or most Home Depots or Lowe's
