Guys,
I was given an old duracraft aluminum johnboat which is just right to fish the cypress breaks and run my old small outboards on. Problem: I'm having to weld 3 ribs and replace the transom plywood and a very large number of rivets because it is basically worn out. My questions are:
1. Are there some kind of rivets available that will be watertight and strong like the originals?
2. If there are rivets available, where can one get them?
3. If you can get 'em, do you have to buy an expensive tool to put them in?
Thanks,
JBJ
