I have 18 ft flat bottom aluminum hull .10" aluminum. It has 60in bottom. Boat is made by tracker (grizzly 1860). The boat vibrates like crazy with 60hp merc 4 str. I could never put electronics on the console for scare that they will rattle to death. Any way to fix this? I never have seen the runners in the boat b/c they are under the floor that happens to be riveted down to the all-welded hull. The aluminum rivets in the floor love to pop out. My best investment has been a rivet gun.

Re: Aluminum flat bottom Hull Vibrating

Can't help much with the boat, unless you want to coat the inside with a heavy duty deck sealer.

When do you get the vibration?
at all engine speeds?
Only when engine is in gear?
Only at high speed?

The reason I ask is that if you have a constant vibration, it has to be coming from somewhere.
An out of balance prop can make the whole boat shake, and do damage to your engine.
