Boat is a 16.5 Aluminum Deep V SC with a C60 Yamaha 2 stroke
3 blade propeller 13.5" x 15P

Going from a stock aluminum to an SS prop with same dia. and pitch but larger blade area:
1) gained 3mph top end GPS (33mph)...max RPM went down from 5500 to 5300
2) faster hole shot (2 fishermen with gear)
3) better response in turns....better acceleration
4) able to trim the motor higher

The only negative is a slight vibration just above idle (1100 rpm that goes away with acceleration)

It certainly was worth the extra cost for my application. I hope this helps someone.

Re: Aluminum to SS prop report

Seems to be:
"SS prop with same dia. and pitch"

My SS should arrive any day. Hope I get the same results...... I stayed with the same pitch as the AL too.....

I wonder if you had the prop balanced if the vibe would go away?

Thanks for the report.....

Re: Aluminum to SS prop report

@Steelespike.....Thank you for your expertise....yes...the AL prop was in perfect condition. Both props are 13.5 x 15P
only the SS prop has a larger blade are and a more rounded contour. Hope that helps.

Re: Aluminum to SS prop report

What brand/model of SS prop? And what brand of al prop?

Results can vary with different prop brands/styles.

SS prop is a Solas New Saturn; AL prop is an OEM Yamaha. I am not an expert. There are many good prop manufacturers out there....just sayin'
