Hey Hwsiii, got my props today didnt get from iboats sorry but found them here in ohio at a super price could not pass it up i went ahead and got the QL volvo penta 12 1/2 x 14 and the appolo 10 1/8 x15 just to compare them the appolo i got for 149.00 with hub kit so I said what the hell it wont hurt to have extra prop around. were having severe thunderstorms with rain now and they say tommorow as well so ill let you know as soon as i can get out thanks

Ok hwsiii, got the boat out today this is what she did:

1981 14 foot astroglass 140 1994 mariner 50hp 3 cylinder (not bigfoot)

QL volvo penta 4 blade 10 1/2x14 36.6 mph@ 57000rpm boat rode real smooth notied a litte better hole shot from old prop

appolo ss 10 1/8x15 37.4 mph@5600-5700 rpm hole shot dont know if I could realy tell if there was a difference from 4 blade top end speed seemed to be the same to me but was actualy about 1 1/2 faster than 4 blade boat seemed to realy get on plane faster with both props over all im happy with both for some reason i keep telling my self that the boat seemed to ride better on the water with the 4 blade well thanks for all your help im realy happy with the money spent and now i have two clean and good working props feel like i did good realy happy thanks

next im going to take the stingray off and run both props again and see what happens

hwsiii do you think it is possible im getting a smother ride ouut of the 4 blade just seemed to me I was crusing real smooth was realy surprised that the ss said it was faster because the ride seemed smother with the QL

The ride is smoother with the QL beause it has 4 blades and more surface area and the 4th blade makes the prop more balanced than the 3 blade, and it tends to pick the stern up more.
