Alumninum vs Stainless 290DP

I have a very quick question about Aluminum props vs. stainless. I have been considering going to a set of stainless and have been told to go down one size from my aluminum because they do not flex as much as the aluminum ones do at high rpm. What if anything do you guys know about this? This is for a Volvo 290DP.

I would stick with the same numbers. the DP props dont flex as much as ya think. if you go stainless make sure you use a high quality grease like special lube 101 and check the shaft splines at least every other month. its bad enough to cut off a set of AL wheels and its terrible to tear up a set of SS wheels over 5 dollars worth of grease.

ok, thanks for the input, i was wanting to stick with the original size but did not want to over work the motor at higher RPM

I bought the same size SS as my aluminums, and much quicker out of the hole, and no problem with my top end speed and RPM's, so I'd say the same here too. Keep an eye on Ebay, picked up a brand new pair of Volvo manufactured SS C-4 props for $460US, what a deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow I forgot, look about the iboats store as well. occasionally they have props on sale.
