I am really late to this post but people never seem to amaze me. Your neibhor (or how ever you spell it) Is an a#$. Life is to short and to hard to listen to people judging others. I say sit in your boat buck a#$ naked and pee on his lawn. Show him how a real dork does things. If that dosnt work then give your buddys on I-boat and well come down there and show him some real dork adventures lol!

whats different between that and all the people that go sit in their boat at the marina...but never take it out???

they are paying $2-$4K ayear AND have to get in their car and drive to the boat to just sit in it ha ha ha ha


but i said maybe any way ha ha ha ha

I know a lot of Dorks that dont even have a boat!!

I had to vote no. I will put on my bermuda trunks, my flip flops, grab a cooler full of cold ones and crank up the stereo with a disc changer full of Jimmy Buffett cd's. As Aviator5 has confessed to, I have spent a few nights in the cuddy in the driveway also. Most of the other ideas, my neighbors wouldn't take a second look at me for doing.

If sitting in my boat in my drive way makes me a dork I don't want to be normal!

Someday's you just don't have time to make it to the water. In those situatinos there is nothing wrong with have a cold one and taking an imaginary boat ride with a little Jimmy Buffett playing.

I guess you could call my drive way, "That One Particular Harbour!"

OK, so I installed some led strip lighting in my cuddy cabin today and after a few beers this evening I just had to go hang out in my cuddy and enjoy the new lighting at night. As I was quietly climbing up the swim ladder, I thought of this thread and was giggling inside my boat parked in the driveway. I guess I am a dork too, LOL!!

I sit in my boat, but I keep it in the garage so the only person who sees is my wife. She thinks I'm a dork, but not for that reason. If you like your neighbor, invite him/her over for a drink in the boat. Maybe you will start a trend.

NO you are not a Dork and I too have enjoyed a frosty one while sitting in my boat listening to the radio while dry docked on the trailer in my dirveway.

Next time raise your hand and beverage slowly so as not to spill anything in acknowledgment of his hail, but do not answer his zingers.

Your neighbor is just jealous he did not have a boat in his driveway with the ability to spend some time enjoying a cold one in.

Do be careful when climbing back down to terra firma if you have had ANY more than one!

x 2 But I am sitting in my boat, on it's trailer, reading this thread and posting on it. ALL WHILE DRINKING A BEER, and not endangering anyone (unless I fall out of the boat onto you because I had a few:eek: ).

sometimes my neighbor joins me, it's amazing how the offer of a free beer can do that:D

I have three sons now 23, 21 and 19. On the youngest's 18th birthday (legal age to drink alcohol in Australia) I came home from "party-shopping" to find all three in the boat on the driveway, stereo cranked to max enjoying their little brother's special day. :cool:

Soon half the neighbourhood kids joined in and only one of them got "sea" sick! :(

No you are not a dork! I do it all the time in my neighborhood during the week when there isn't enough time to get to the water. Actually the other boaters in my neighborhood come down with their beverage of choice and we have a good time. The neighbors that don't have boats get jealous! One other good thing about it is you can't get a " driving under the influence" citation in your driveway.......

Buddys and I are dorks too then... Few cold beverages, no where to sit... Climb in the boat for a few hours! Must say there were no witneses though. Snow on the ground and holed up in the garage. LOL
