Its 2 plugs and 3 or 4 screws, the most important thing is to make sure all connections on the engine and battery are good and the alternater is working, LOW VOLTAGE WILL KILL THE AMP new or old. Any time the system drops below 9 1/2 volts you can have a problem, that means a good starter and starting battery, a deep cycle will kill a amp in a hurry

2 plugs and 3 or 4 screws, the most important thing is all connections on the engine and battery are in good condition, LOW VOLTAGE WILL KILL A AMP old or new. Make sure the alternater is working and that the starter don't draw to much, you need a good starting battery not a deep cycle. Before plugging the new amp in hook a voltmeter to the battery and turn the engine over to ck battery voltage and starter draw
