Sorry, I'm looking at this in a real life situation. If a guy comes on here with a problem with his amp cutting out on a boat, what makes you think he has access to an O'scope. If he did, he wouldn't be asking the question to begin with because he has experience in electronics and would have already check that.

Don S, I expected better then this from you...SMH. Acceptable ripple is depended upon what the power supply will be powering... I can't believe YOU tried to belittle me on this... I seriously thought way better of you then that... I was merely suggesting that anybody (not just the OP) can/could see such ripple visually with a O'scope... Really...SMH!hwell:
