Thanks all for your support.

Now as to forktail, get a life!!

You are so anti LubeDude, Its getting really old.

First, Im not bias, I have continually recomended many other oils besides Amsoil.

Its not bad advice to recomend running an oil manufactured for 100:1 to be run at 80:1.

Of coarse there are outboards that the manufacture recomends 100:1, but we are not talking about those.

And this was a question specifically about Amsoil.

You are getting to be a real pain in the Ars!!!

Anyone else feel as I do???????Originally posted by Forktail:
Obviously if someone sells a product, they would be bias toward that product. Otherwise they'd be selling a different product.

LubeDude, it's bad advice to suggest running a 2-stroke outboard at 80:1.

Many people run their outboards at WOT nearly all the time. I do. They are designed to do that....hours and hours on end.

I have some smaller outboards that require a 100:1 mixture, and they have lasted for years with regular OEM oil.

There are lots of 2-stroke synthetic oils. Amsoil is only one of them.
