for those that I somehow personally attacked, for those that think I did and for the general public for failing to attack issues I may have made a difference on.
I offer an apology.
however I am going outconus again, doing a bit of fishing and a bit of humanitarian aide on my own.
its expensive, fun, exilerating and sad all at the same time.
whats funny is I am trying to line upsome sponsers for next years Orinoco river race while using local techs to prep and run the boat.

I guess no one ever heard of that small race.

but an apology to all I may have offended in the past year.
I willtry not to in the next.
if you really really wish to support our troops at christmas please look to a local USN,AF, Marine corps or national Guard ombudsman.
there are Toys for Tots everywhere.

for the sadistic viewers here, if you ever wish to see a sailor or a marine shed a tear, give a toy to a kid.

Re: an apology

BTW rodbolt, I was serious about offering an airline ticket for somebody to help in VE, they can help fish too if they want . . . Let me know if there is a taker, and we can work out the flights etc. And I'm still in for one of these DWB trips if we can get the Calendar to work next time.

and I am just as serious.
all I need help with is the next operation smile or similar project date.
my dentist friend has moved away and now I dont know who to contact.
but I do have contacts on the ground in Caracas.
I will be willing to go or pay for someones trip to other places.
like darfur,congo.
even the earthquake sticken pakistan.

the more I watch our US policy the sicker it makes me. we spend more on a day in bull crap defense sheet than some places annual budjet.
would not be so bad if our current admin had not so very very badly muffed the stupid invasion of Iraq, but even when faced with fact its muffed, they refuse to fix it.

Dude, remember you were cooling off . . . Take three deep breaths and listen (read). I am willing to donate airfare if you have someone that is willing to donate their time. We spend more on soda pop too, but I'm not gonna contact Dr. Pepper about anything, so just find someone to take my offer and have a good time and catch some fish . . .

Re: an apology

Rodbolt, I understand your passion for helping others. Remember, we have a mission project in Ghana, West Africa, where we try to teach life skills, work skills, Christian skills, while at the same time sponsoring medical missions, helping build a cliinic in the town, we were able to get the Rotary Club International to donate an ambulance to the town, etc.

Good for you for your caring and compassionate spirit for the less fortunate. But a word of advice, you can attract more bugs with honey, than with stink. Your attacks on the US could be better understood with a little more honey. I actually agree with some of your spoutings, but have trouble acknowledging that fact because of the hate in your tone.

Peace, Bro, and good job in the humanitarian endeavors. I would love to travel to VE with you sometime - the only problem is time. Mine seems to get stretched pretty thin between Ghana and the US.

Oh, and by the way, we pushed Toys for Tots pretty hard at our Church last year and this year. Will continue to do so. A very worthwhile project, and our youth group loves doing it. We take a night and take all of them shopping for their "kids." Some of these spoiled, rotten, teens go crazy and will spend upwards of $50 for toys for these kids they do not know. That is money that THEY earned, and was not given to them to spend! It is really neat to see young people get behind such a noble thing.

"The mission dates indicated below reflect the medical evaluation and surgical periods. The travel dates for individual team members vary according to assignment."

Country ~ Mission Dates ~ City ~ Mission Coordinator
Venezuela ~ Jan. 10 - 20 ~ Caracas ~ Carey
Nicaragua ~ Jan. 23 - Feb. 4 ~ Chinandega ~ Meghan
Philippines ~ Feb. 22 - Mar. 3 ~ Cebu ~ George
Philippines ~ Feb. 22 - Mar. 3 ~ Davao ~ George
Philippines ~ Feb. 22 - Mar. 3 ~ Bacolod City ~ George
Philippines ~ Feb. 22 - Mar. 3 ~ Cabantuan ~ George
Honduras ~ March 1 – 11 ~ Tegucigalpa ~ Kate
Bolivia ~ March 14 - 24 ~ Santa Cruz ~ Carey
Cambodia ~ March 15 - 23 ~ Phnom Penh ~ Scott
Morocco ~ March 22 - 30 ~ Oujda ~ Philip
Peru ~ May 23 – June 2 ~ Lima ~ Meghan
Brazil ~ June 27 - July 6 ~ Belem ~ Carey

I could possibly get to Caracas Wednesday night, Jan 17 and stay until Sunday if that would help. Is this project done in the city, and if so what's the state of public transportation there?

[note to aspeck - did you really mean those kids are "spoiled, rotten" as in both spoiled and rotten, or did you intend to say "spoiled rotten"? ;) ]

I kinda think rodbolt was partying last night as he was taking off today. Maybe not, but it seemed like a last minute flurry of posts + some juice . . .

That seems to be Rod's biggest problem here.

I pity, and caution all who go down to VE. with Rod... don't drink the waters with him. I'm thinking he is worse in "real life" than he is online... at least take a pic first, that will give your Plastic Surgeon a starting point. :p

EDIT: sorry Rod, but you do ask, and demand it.

I know a picture is worth a thousand words. What am I missing here? Perhaps the resolution on my monitor is too poor or I am looking for the wrong thing. Please PM me MRS. I really want to understand or laugh which ever you intended.
