"That has to be the most infantile retrospective I have ever read. A time honored tradition of no progess at all."

Don't read much, huh, Ray?

For some reason, I am not ready to buy it. People get my respect by their actions, not the color of the spoon in their mouth.

Hey CJY, I didn't say I wanted to give any respect to 'em, I just said: if they get the 'big job', I will respect 'em because they will then be my President, regardless of whether or not I supported them on the journey. This is a matter of even greater importance if we are at war. The followers of religion o' peace are likely going to be a problem for Western civilization for a very long time. JR

If Gore, Pelosi, or Hill gets elected to be "Comander in Chief" they will get my respect, (in the case of Nancy Galore, she could get in by default, (God forbid,[sorry: Bro Haut, hard to not ask the BIG guy for a li'l help from time to time]). Until that time, I will work against their politics, most of their policies, and elevating them in further in office: to the extent that I can, (as one small person in a very blue state). Gore is not quite the "puke" Kerry is, (I think Kerry sets the Guinness world record on that one, [sorry for the discriptive language I chose here BB]) but I don't think he is real smart or very stable just clearly a first class hypocrite who has generational ties to the deceased A. Hammer of Oxy Petroleum and big Tobacco, that belies his current self serving agenda to help our advisaries. Respectfully JR

I hope you feel better now.

I don't think professional therapy could help some that have 12 years of anger and disappointment in the demorcat party would even help.

Don't you have to do something, or stand for something, or believe in something to be admired?

Re: An observation

This whole "hate Bush" ruse is an invention of the right to dismiss criticism of Bush without having to answer it, or defend his policies.

Most don't "hate" Bush--they just hate his policies and where he is taking this country. There is a difference.

If the right had any guts they would attempt to defend them, rather than attempt to dismiss them.

And this is not an issue between conservative and liberal as much as it is an issue of competence vs incompetence.

I'm sure Rodbolt is correct. Bush is doing his best.. But like putting my blind daughter behind the wheel of a car and putting her on the freeway--Regardless of whether she means well or not, I don't think I'd want to be a passenger in her car.

So you're saying you don't support your daughter?

Re: An observation

SBN, there is alot of hatred for this country around here.

I must agree with PW2. I can't stand where Bush is taking this country. He's killing terrorists and cutting taxes. The markets are hitting daily all time highs. The economy has grown more in the last 4 years than the entire value of China's economy. Certainly an "incompetent" president if I ever heard of one.

I sure am glad the democrats can take this country in a better direction.

Re: An observation

What an unbelievable post. How quickly we forget the hate march last week. Or Paul Wellstones memorial of hate. How about the daily posts of how some love to portray Bush as an idiot. A man they never met. How about the hateful drumbeat of Bush Lied? Talk about intellectually dishonest. How about this never proven, never substantiated, on going fantasy of some tenuous link between Bush and Big Oil. How about the new congressman from Wisconsin lying about how he insulted the President and First Lady to curry favor with the Hate Bush crowd. How about watching some jackin their monkey over the prospect of Don Rumsfield being put on trial in a foreign country, by foreign laws, without the protections provided every citizen of this country.

A liberal spitting on our soldiers is the perfect visual of somes respect for our country and our leader.

Re: An observation

On another board I moderate, we recently decided to ban any political posts. It breeds too much anger amongst members who might otherwise get along.

We decided there are plenty of political sites out there to argue your opinion, we didn't want to become one of them.

Guess what, it worked. The site is much more friendly, and newbies are signing up by the dozens and aren't afraid to post.

I'm not sure a ban is warranted on iboats. It's such a low percentage of posts and it always involves the same dozen-or-so participants. Ands it's pretty well buried in the basement. I rarely see it trickle upstairs. I'd bet that 99% of newbies and potentials are blissfully unaware of us nutjobs down here. :p
