Hello All,

My question is this, I have a 16' Invader fiberglass.I want to be able the set anchor off the bow where I can pull up or lower the anchor without damage to the boat, what I also want is to protect the line movement against the fiberglass, what would be the best way to prevent this, and also for tighing off the anchor to the boat. what type of hardware should I use, I'd like to go as low cost as possible. I have a danforth fluke type anchor, approx 20"

Thanks,

Al

Re: anchoring help

run your anchor line through an eye large enough to tie a smaller line to that, tie the smaller line to the quarter bit, when you are ready to pull the anchor run up on the anchor to give the the anchor line enough slack to start pulling the smaller line attached to the quarter bit and pull the anchor line from the side of the boat,
