EC posted replies on Dec 5 to other posts on DC,so I guess he missed this one. Hopefully he'll chime in soon and we'll catch him.

Re: And a few more prayers

Here is the latest update fellow boaters:

I am still here by the grace of God. My days are getting better on the average and my lung capacity has not diminished this last week overall and at times it increases for a while.

I have all of my MD's agreeing that I am terminal in the AMA world because they have nothing in their bag of tricks to throw at this tumor. They also agree that I am now eighty two days into a life that there is no logical explanation for and that they think that I will beat this new tumor, they just can't go on the record with no physical evidence to back up their beliefs.

We are taking it one day at a time, addressing the symptoms as they arise. Today I received two units of blood to make up for the the slight leakage in my left lung. (I wonder if Rule makes a tiny bilge pump that will go into a lung?) I am breathing much easier tonight because of it.

Will I beat this cancer? I am not dead sure of it like I was the first one. I personally believe that God does not heal us for our convenience, but that we might be drawn closer to Him. I think that I have some more work left to do that my death might hinder, so I'm taking care of the details like avoiding pneumonia and such things. I believe that I will be meeting a bunch of you guys on the water this next year and that I will be in great health. I am reminded of one of the ladies that was receiving chemo when I was. She was there doing maintenance chemo as she too was listed as terminal many years ago. She had just put up 3200 small square bales of hay by herself and she is eighty two years old!

I still want and need y'alls prayers. My wife also needs them as the this is physically wearing her out as well as putting her through an emotional strainer.

I am normally a very private person, but I will keep y'all updated, fair or foul.

Re: And a few more prayers

God bless you, EC. I am amazed at your resolve. In my short time on this forum I have made many friends. I have also come to know many strong willed people. You, my friend are surely one of them. I too believe it is not yet your time, and if ever you make a journey South I would feel honored to spend some time with you on the sea. Keep on keepin' on and thanks for your update. Our prayes to both you and Mrs EC. Rick and Barb.
