In reallity, the only way the finger licker is going to pass gerns to you through the money is if you then stick your hands in your mouth or eat with your hands after which you shouldn't be doing anyway after handling licked or unlicked money.

...or touch your nose or rub your eyes or scratch your lip. Good way for the money-licker to get sick too.

I'll admit that I am paranoid to touch a truck stop, or rest area door handle, with my bare hands. Got to "insulate' with a piece of towel or toilet paper. Seem to have less bouts of colds and flu.
I'd never think of such a thing[insulation].I go in and out of public johns and truck stops every day. I can't remember the last time I had a cold or flu.

There's a lady I work with. Very nice woman. From what I understand she lost a child years ago to some sort of disease. She's an absolute germ-phobe now. Constantly cleans her desk, wears gloves to open the mail, doesn't go to other parts of the office needlessly to limit "germ" exposure. I helped her with her computer once and saw her clean the mouse after I left. She told me she cleans everything she buys from the grocery store (I'm talking soup cans here people, not just like produce and stuff you'd typically wash). I used to sit close to her. When I had a cold, every time I'd cough I'd hear her moan. Very very sad that someone lives their life that way.

Do you remember playing in the sandbox as a kid??

Besides your toys and cat poop, what else was in there.
If you never get sick, how are you supposed to build up your immunity against bugs, dirty kids are healthy kids in the long run.

Exactly, rbh. Eating a little dirt just helped us build a little immunity.
This goes to the extreme, we'll all be living in plastic bubbles like John Travolta when he was the Boy In The Plastic Bubble.
Somehow the human race has managed to survive despite the odd pathogen encounter.
