Sure, JB.
My Garmin GPS came with a 128mb card, so I bought a 256Mb card on ebay for big maps like the details of Lake Of The Woods.

Stuck it in the unit, plugged in to the 'puter and loaded it up with that big map, as well as waypoints collected over the last 8 years.

Then I stuck the 128Mb card back in with all my local stuff on it.

Packing to leave I grabbed the case and tossed it in the tackle box.

Preparing for our first outing I made the above boast and opened the case.

EMPTY!!! :% I had grabbed the wrong case. All those maps were still at The Hideout.:'(

The unit on-board memory saved the day by having the waypoints. No islands, no depth, no contour, but the waypoints.

With the help of a paper depth/contour map we still found all of the waypoints we decided to fish, but it would have been so much nicer if we had that $100 map in the GPS.

Gonna get a 512Mb card.

Hey JB, which Garmin do you have.

It could have been worse. You could have forgotten you tackle box........THAT would have been a tragedy.d:)

I have the 276C, Kev.

I use it as the car navigator most of the time, but put it in the boat (in Marine mode) for fishing or carry it in my pocket when hunting or hiking.
