Re: Ann Coulter/ Plagiarism/Samo-Samo
All creditable software used in providing a service or assisting a process IS validated to prove it does the work the inventer claims.
What is the process for validation?
Is there a recognized software review protocol that creates a validation?
Who administers this review?
I can't seem to find anything that says iThenticate software is validated. It does seem to be gaining a lot of acceptance in the publishing industry.
iThenticate website:
http://www.ithenticate.com/static/home.html
And in a review of the software by American Journalism Review the developer admits there are some holes in the data base.

Admittedly I have read little of Coulter work. I read George Will and others who I feel analyze problems in a proper fashion.
I find some of Ms. Coulters' statements to be very disturbing.
"My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building."
-- Ann Coulter to George Gurley, New York Observer, August 21, 2002
On [Fox News Channel's February 7th] Hannity and Colmes, Alan Colmes confronted Ann Coulter with the following statement she made at the Conservative Political Action Committee conference:"We need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals, by making them realize that they can be killed too."
Coulter whined to Colmes, "I didn't know we were talking about this tonight, but now that you've sprungit on me..." but confirmed she made the comment and boasted it was a "huge hit with the audience."
Colmes: "You hate liberals. You despise liberals. This is unbelievable. We should execute them to make liberals scared?"
Coulter: "Right. Right!"

"I think [women] should be armed but should not [be allowed to] vote. No, they all have to give up their vote, not just, you know, the lady clapping and me. The problem with women voting -- and your Communists will back me up on this -- is that, you know, women have no capacity to understand how money is earned. They have a lot of ideas on how to spend it. And when they take these polls, it's always more money on education, more money on child care, more money on day care."

Does Ms. Coulter exemplify the Republican party? Not the party I know and have voted on more than one occasion for.
What she does exemplify to me is outright hostility and flawed thinking.
Seriously, is the answer to our problems to start executing those that disagree with us in our own country?
I wish some of the mainstream political commentators would speak out against her just a bit more. By remaining silent they give her tacit support.
I hope this edit came out ok......
