There was a post "Stray Electric Eating boat away!" where there was discussion for anodes. I didn't want to 'jack this person's thread so I thought I would ask the question in a new thread.
I have seen the anode kits on the drive unit both upper and lower. How often do those need to be replaced? Aren't those really for if you leave the boat in the water? We "trailer" boat for the most part but occasionally will have the boat tied up for a few days out next to a houseboat or something like that.
I see the kits in West Marine's Catalogue. I have a 1992 Rinker 206, Merc. 4.3 LX, Alpha I, Gen II. Any thoughts? Sorry if this in an obvious question. I searched the previous threads and didn't see anything I liked.
