My god, what type of idiots would bring children into an area that is full of pirates. I feel for those children. If they lose there lives the US should go into that country and route out all of the drug and warlords and hang them in public view.

In the 1850s the US Navy patrolled the West African coast in an effort to stop the slave trade. They didn't just capture slave traders with slaves aboard; they captured ships equipped for the slave trade, returned them to the USA and jailed the crews. Little known is that several ships in the slave trade simply disappeared as they attempted to penetrate the US blockade to get more slaves. Must have offended some Yankee Captain.

I would really like to see the Navy go after Somali pirates with the same attitude; unless you can prove some other, legal, mission you go to jail or swim home.

The pirates, I mean. They have announced that since we put 1 pirate in jail for 33 years, they will no longer be taken and will kill all hostages. it was a big mistake for the shipping companies to ransom off their ships. Don't feed pirates or pigeons.
