posted a few minutes ago but forgot to ask question.
1983 175 crossflow on my flywheel there are timeing marks for number 1 cyl and number 2 cyl i know i time it off number 1 marks and cyl
what are the number 2 cyl marks for

You check the timing on the starboard bank (#1) and then the port bank (#2).

thats the right top plug number one left top plug number 2
when i check the timeing on one then i check the number 2 do i use the higher of the two

Yep. If they're more than a degree off, something is wrong. They should be pretty much exactly the same.

thanks d hadley yes i guess if the timeing were off more than a degree
or two that would mean something was well mangeled
has anyome ever seen a 6 cyl with that prob .
