Re: another for Tabman
WWYC na7,

Well, this is the first time anyone has ever asked this question before and most likely the first time it has ever been a problem, so my suggestion is only a guess as to how to remove it. Do understand I am from the old school of thought; if it won't fit, force it and if it breaks it needed replacing anyway!!

First of all is the trim tab off the vessel or still mounted? If it is off the vessel, then position the tab/zinc assembly on an anvil or vise so you can tap it (hit) the screw head with a hammer to loosen it up a little. If it is still on the vessel, then use a sledgehammer on zinc side and tap the screw head with the hammer to loosen it up. Give it try and let me know how it turns out by dropping me a line at
