another newb question

I have a 86 procraft 1650v with a 90hp rude vro what rpm should this motor idle at ? It is running at 1200 rpm now which seems abit high to me also how do you adjust the idle on this model?<br /><br />thnx, <br />mark

Irrelevant what it idles in neutral but, as a reference, probably somewhere around 1000.<br />Once in gear set as Hooty says. Adjustment should be made in the water not on muffs and warmed up to normal operating temp.<br />As to where to make the adjustment, your manual will show you that.
