Well the wife decided she didn't like the Stingray 220sx (cockpit too small). So I am back with another. I have yet to see the boat but since it is quite a drive to see and I know nothing of Powerquest...what do you guys think of a 1993 Powerquest Spectra XL 222?

540 hours
mercruiser 7.4 L 454 I/O
Bravo 1 outdrive
Thru hull exhaust
Top speed 60 mph (as claimed by owner)
Fiberglass floor, self draining
Graphics in the gel coat, not decals
Original interior, no rips, tears in any fabric
Snap on cockpit cover
Cuddy cabin sleeps 2, porta-potti with external flush
Docking lights
Dual batteries with switch
Bimini top with cover
Swim step with ladder
Stainless steel risers
External engine flush kit
23 pitch stainless steel 3 blade prop

Recent tune up includes: Spark plug wires and plugs, Distributor cap, Rotor coil, Drive coupler, Exhaust baffles, Oil pan, Pan gasket, Gimbal bearing, Starter, Battery

Worth a 3 hour drive to see? He is asking $9500 for boat and tandem trailer.

Thanks

Demand lots of pics before driving that far. I've read stories of guys who drove hours for a described "clean, running boat" only to find a heap of trash with an engine somewhere underneath a pile of leaves along with the explanation that it ran great the last time it was out..............5 years ago.

Agree with Andy?s Delight.

Lots of pictures before the drive.

Powerquest are awesome boats. Very well built. Totally different class of boat than a Stingray. You might run into the same problem as the Stingray, the cockpit will be small.

As with any boat, get it professionally check out including a sea trial.
