I don't know if it's the same but I got a couple of these nite light thingy that are about 3"x3", really thin that plugs into an outlet. It supposedly cost 1 penny/month or day to operates, can't remember which. It cool to touch at all time and have lifetime warranty by G.E. They come in white, green and amber color and cost something like 7 bucks a pop.

Thinking of thinking . . . If light bulbs disappear, what will we use to signify an idea? A red, blue and green swath of nothing? What about Christmas lights? Put them up with a paint brush? Is it like wallpaper? No, no, wait, the whole house will simply glow. Wait, wait, your whole house could be a big bug zapper. Can you imagine the new debate about sternlights? Are you legal if the whole boat glows? Red down one side, green down the other, solid white stern . . .

Great idea, hope they come to market soon. LEDs are the wave of the future.

I am slowly converting all my bulbs to florescent to save some money on the light bills and they last much longer.

Ken

With decreased per capita electricity usage, would not the cost per kilowatt hour increase?
if so who gets the savings?

They better apply that stuff to a regular lightbulb "shell", cause I am not replace every lamp and light fixture in my house. I just put 19 new light fixtures in the kitchen. !!

Nice try Pointer . . . I think the rule will allow only one SUV per family IF you convert 100% of your household lighting. I am applying to be a World Hummer Allotment Counting Official (WHACO). I'm also going into the used SUV business. Feels like some nice little synergy there . . .
