Hello again.. tried to fire my 1971 18 horse evinrude in the barrel today. No dice, but it will fire quickly with gas in the cylanders. fuel problem im sure. I had no johnson tank to test with, so i used a yamaha tank i had, and just used the yamaha fitting for the tank end, and an evinrude for the motor side. Any reason this won't work?.. Also when i cleaned the fuel pump, it's slightly possible it didn't get re-assembled correctly. If i can rule out the hose issue.. I guess a fuel pump would be next. I did thoroughly clean the carb. And finally, the napa's in my area don't seem to have parts for my 18 horse listed in their books. everything is for 15's or 20's and different years. I got an impellor for the 20, and it looked identical, so i installed it. Is there a napa parts reference page anywhere that i could find the part #'s myself to verify im getting the right stuff?.. The 20 horse fuel pump only goes for 14 bucks up here... Thanks again

Re: another question..

I beleive the NAPA and Sierra p/n's are the same, if that's the case you can go to iShopmarine.com and using the "parts search" feature enter the OEM p/n and it will bring up the current OEM p/n as well as the Sierra/NAPA replacement p/n and any other aftermarket parts/#'s that are available.
