A friends boat had some cracked glass on the deck,so he remove it.(peeled away). The area is maybe 10x12 inches???The wood is wet,but still pretty solid. What should we put down(after it dries out)before putting down fresh glass/paint???Any help would be great!

Depends on if he wants to really fix it now or later. If the wood is wet then it will rot eventually if it isn't already. As far as fiberglassing to wood, you don't need anything other than to clean it.

This is a nice old boat, and needs to hit the water soon! We're just hoping it'll last a while before it would NEED a deck. It's solid besides this.

If it still feels solid then you may be able to just glass it and run it, but if it is wet chances are that it will rot if it hasn't started already is all that I was saying.

do you know where the water is coming from...is it just from the cracking or is it coming thru somewhere else and soaking in? all the wood could be wet.
