another VRO question

So I have my VRO pump disconnected per the instructions found on this site all is well. Except I want to remove the oil reservoir to use that space as some anchor storage. Will I set off the alarm if I cut the wires going to the reservoir and if so how can I get this job done so I can have the extra space?

Thanks a ton and happy boating!

Re: another VRO question

Why not pull the wiring back through along with the oil line. This way you could sell the oil tank along with wiring on craigs list. There should be 2 of the wires with quick connects in the fuse area. Disconnect these and pull wiring back through the transom. If you have liquid electrical tape dip the ends of disconects at motor into them creating a water tight seal. Remember the oil line will still have residue and could leak into the bilge or motor
