Another "What is this?" post

Found this at the bottom of my bilge. Could not locate the other "half" either still in place or in the bilge. Not sure if it is just something the PO dropped in there to mess with my head or if it belongs to something. Looks like at one time, it sat on some sort of splined shaft.

Looks like half of a widget to me.

Not enough info to even make an informed guess.


I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Being an ex-boatbuiler I can tell you of alot of things that were left in the hull only to wash out later. A beer can comes into mind, to say the least. Hope you find the culprit.

I think half a widget is closer!
No sleep lost, just couldn't find the other half or a splined shaft anywhere.

Ayuh,.... My guess is it's 1 of the rubber shims used with the Merc triangular coupler...
