Another Yamaha 703 controller question

My controller has three sets of paired wires coming out of it. Anyone know which pair serves which purpose?

No problem. One of the fun things about reading a forum like this is the opportuity for a chuckle on occasion. I set that up so perfectly! I couldn't have resisted either.<br /><br />Three pairs of wires each pair coming to a single connector (In other words six wires to three connectors.) There is a pair of red wires, a pair of light green wires (Lime green my wife called it, and a pair of light blue wires (sky blue says my wife). I know that one pair has to do with the trim and tilt gauge, although I have no idea which one. I suspect that the others are for oil pressure and temperature but that is a guess. And why a pair? Would this mean that I need to send one end to a sender in the engine and the other to the gauge or do they remain paired with both going to the gauge. (I have had Johnson engines before so this comtroller is new to me.)

Red is hot all of the time and the blue and green are for up and down in that order. Allows you to wire an extra trim switch without cutting into the harness. There are a variety of controllers for different year models and engine models. There is also a variety of wiring contained with the controller. There is on many models a set of wires which are blue, yellow, green and black. Black is ground, blue and yellow are switched hots. Green is the tach lead. The trim indicator wiring is a seperate harness. Colors and plugs vary with different model years.
