Usual story.
Anyone got any tips on type of timber for remaking the stringers and deck?
Using the boat at the mo but come winter will cut the floor out and repair /replace etc.
At the mo there are numerous soft patches and it looks as though water was getting in where the seat bases were screwed down... as this permeated the top covering.

QUESTIONS:
1 Do i use ply and steam bend and laminate it into shape? (as a yurt maker i could steam bend or machine from timber?)
2 What sort of foam is used in between the cavities?
2 what sort of ply is used for the floor?
4 What sort of covering is used over this floor when done? Is it fibreglassed at the edges and floor painted over? or is it epoxy resin'd all over?
(We used to epoxy resin the insides of our 12 ft marine ply steam boxes to stop water penetrating into the steam box wood when steaming Ash or Oak.
5 How does one fix the seats down without compromising the seal on the floor or is resin and screws the key?
many thanks
