What could possibly go wrong with a setup like that. Only thing missing is a bit of dog leash for safety chain.

What the...who the...LOL! I guess he did it that way so he can easily switch ball size. Hope he isn't hauling anything over that bumper's limit. And what is preventing that thing from pivoting at the bumper? Imagine it pivoting around and locking up on the side of the bumper! That trailer will be all contorted. BAD idea altogether. Some people...IDK. He probably thought he had a great idea! He should stop thinking!

As I have said many times, “tools to some people are deadly weapons”.

I like that 6" long bolt that is probably half the size of the hole it goes through so lets put a big washer on top.

Hey as long as they go straight and do not turn or stop should be ok. :faint2: Kind of like that movie where the bus could not slow down or it would blow up. :nightmare:

That is a lot of leverage on a stock bumper.
It makes me sick just looking at it.

Common guys he double nutted it for safety. You'd think he'd win the Darwin Award...

Most step bumpers are rated at 3500# IF ball is mounted directly on bumper. Why in the heck he put a receiver on it is my question. I don't see anything gained unless he needs multiple ball sizes and 2 balls and a wrench would be a safer alternative.

You thought you made something idiot proof and then, low and behold, along comes an advanced idiot.
