Im in the process of removing a broken off steel bolt out of an aluminum intake/exhaust manifold in the area where the alt. adjustment arm attaches to it. My question is..Due to dissimilar metals,do I use the copper based anti-sieze or some other similar product that would not cause an electrolitic action. Also, Im planning on going back w/ stainless steel fasteners instead of steel in the end cover plate that I have off now. Any ideas??? Thanks, Dean Poff<br />165 hp merc 1974

Agree with Trent, NON Harding Gasket sealer is the best.

in blind holes grease works well as an anti-sieze and no worries about galvanic corrosion.

Thanks for the input folks. Also, found a graphite based anti-sieze used for dissimilar metals used on some gas turbine engines that one of the guys at work had used.(shipboard use)
